Prepare your Virginia title and keys
Before pickup, locate your Virginia certificate of title and make sure it’s in your name, with any lien released. We’ll guide you on how to sign it for donation. Set aside the keys (if you have them) and remove personal items from the vehicle so the tow driver can complete pickup quickly.
Meet the tow driver or arrange a no-contact handoff

Tip: In parts of Virginia with tight access, like Old Town Alexandria or older Richmond neighborhoods, a full-size flatbed may not fit. Let us know if your car is in a garage or alley so we can send the right truck or ask you to move it to a nearby accessible spot if possible.
Gated communities, HOAs, and permit-only street parking
Tip: If you live in a gated community in Loudoun or a permit zone in Arlington or Norfolk, the driver may need entry codes or a visitor pass. Have gate codes, parking passes, or HOA instructions ready so the tow operator can enter, load the vehicle, and leave without tickets or delays.
Very rural addresses and unpaved or soft ground
Tip: For more remote Virginia locations, like properties in the Shenandoah Valley, Southwest Virginia, or rural counties, large tow trucks may struggle with steep driveways, mud, or narrow farm roads.
